What do you expect from this Master’s degree? Your hopes and fears.
Alessandro: I expect to complete the more strictly financial aspect of my training in a structured way: I come from a technical background where I've always learnt the financial side "on the job".
The Master’s programme will allow me to systematise this knowledge with a rigorous approach.
My only fear would be the classic one faced by anyone going back to study after many years: how to balance study, work and personal life while maintaining the same standard across the board.
Gino: I'm hoping this Master’s programme will broaden my understanding of the real estate sector, taking me beyond the technical and operational side that has defined much of my career.
Over the years, I've gained experience in handling Facility Management services, monitoring KPIs and SLAs, managing suppliers and planning budgets; now I feel the need to complement these skills with financial and strategic tools applied to real estate.
For me, the fact that my company has offered me this opportunity is an important sign of trust and a further incentive to put myself to the test. I hope to learn practical tools that will help me better understand investment dynamics, asset valuation and the financial returns on initiatives.
My main worry is whether I’ll be able to balance my studies, work and personal life, as well as tackling technical financial topics that are not part of my background. At the same time, that’s one of the most stimulating aspects of the programme.
Giulia: I expect to acquire tools that will help me understand the complex dynamics of the property sector in a more comprehensive and informed way, particularly now that my role at Leonardo Global Solutions is evolving towards greater responsibility for managing and developing property investments.
My main concern is probably whether I'll be able to balance the Master’s programme with my increasing workload.
But I think that's also one of the most interesting challenges for my personal and professional development.
