Leonardo Global Solutions S.p.A owns the sites where its departments operate, which are managed using an integrated, coherent approach with the Group’s Sustainability Strategy. Leonardo’s sustainability goals, declared publicly in the 2020 Report on energy consumption, CO2 emissions, water withdrawals and waste produced, are organised into the projects promoted and implemented by LGS at its operating sites and factories. The most significant projects are part of the Sustainability Plan, proving Leonardo’s commitment to implementing concrete initiatives for reducing the environmental footprint of its factories.
Sustainability
Energy Management
Energy Management
Energy is the key to our process of company growth at Leonardo and LGS, both individually and as a Group. The Group shares strategies, programmes, initiatives and projects.
Management and reporting of environmental capital
The reporting of environmental capital is the key tool that helps Leonardo to measure and monitor the effects which the Group’s work has on the environment, to convey the company’s generated value regarding its environmental performances, and to set the company drivers and goals that can create value in the short, medium and long-term, in the relevant context where it operates.

Commitments
Our transport choices and people’s well-being contribute towards more sustainable development for us and for future generations. LGS has launched a series of company projects to revolutionise the field of commuting, involving 35 sites and about 28,000 people.
LGS has launched a scheduled initiative with a view to a circular economy to minimise the waste sent for disposal, preferring – whenever possible – its reuse, recovery and recycling.
