Leonardo Global Solutions: constant growth marked by expertise, technological innovation and passion.

​​​Leonardo Global Solutions (LGS) is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Leonardo S.p.A. which performs the role of “Service Provider” for the Leonardo Group.
Its path is a story marked by change and constant growth, with the pillars of expertise, quality, innovation and passion. This passion also in practice means looking after people, a focus which LGS has always shown and invested in, promoting activities and initiatives.

The company’s history started in the 2000s as a start-up of an innovative centralisation process for indirect purchases. 2013 was an important milestone, when the two sides of the service were merged: “Finmeccanica Group Real Estate” (FGRE), the real estate owner, and “Finmeccanica Group Service” which handled procurement.
“Finmeccanica Global Solutions” (FGS) was founded to manage these assets and purchases.

However, the real turning point came on 1 January 2016, when Finmeccanica became “One Company”, incorporating the main subsidiaries and turning them into the current “Departments”.
FGS was entrusted with the mission of managing all non-critical business for the entire Group, therefore expanding the industrial project and its scope for action.

2017 was a decisive year for the One Company: Finmeccanica became Leonardo (a tribute to Leonardo da Vinci, the universal symbol of Italian innovation and creativity) and FGS became Leonardo Global Solutions (LGS).

LGS’s mission was also consolidated with the creation of Leonardo: to facilitate the business of the Group’s departments, as the “Procurement Competence Center”, “Global Property Provider”, “Business and People Care Services Manager” and “Environmental Risks Manager”, looking after maintenance, general services, and facility management for all the Italian offices.

LGS’s success is linked to the ability to transform and an aptitude for change, which has led it to become the main player in strategic integration on production lines, adding valuable, innovative services for the entire Group, such as energy management.    

The company has been able to grow continuously thanks to its ability to constantly increase the quality of the services provided, engineering processes and making them digital and sustainable.

Sustainability is increasingly becoming the starting point for the analysis of production processes and an added value for new generations.
Sustainability is not just an important issue for LGS: it is a culture, a way of thinking and acting that embraces all activities and helps constantly strive for innovation with a focus on people, it is a new way of experiencing the company.
LGS passes on this culture in its method of designing and managing new services for the Leonardo Group, tackling more complex challenges, which require increasingly specific skills and more and more motivated people.
